Ron's interest in wildlife began as a young boy growing up in Belleville, Ontario. He enjoyed woodworking and drawing, which was always encouraged by his parents. After 28 years with the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ron retired in 1998. In the summer of 2000, Ron and his family moved to London, Ontario.
